| Well, back from my Thailand trip and might return to work in a few weeks, depends if the company I worked for before will let me work for another 3-4 months. Anyhow, I got into the NYU Film School in Singapore, and I'm probably going to go. Unfortunately, it's a 3 year program, but then I'll be as cool as Ang Lee and the Coen Brothers. Haha, nah, but hopefully, I'll be able to make some good films with all my good theater and film friends! Woohoo! | | |
| Finished my Grad School interview for NYU Tisch Asia in Singapore. So now I'm in Thailand for vacationing. I'll be in Bangkok and Chang Mai. Totally didn't have time to contact people beforehand, so I'll just wing it. But if anybody sees this message and is in Thailand, feel free to let me know! Later . . . | | |
| Yup, finally had time to update. Whenever I think about updating I can't decide what to talk about. This HK epic movie is finally done! The Beijing premiere is tomorrow. I have no comments about the whole process. The box office will judge everything, good or bad. I'm just glad this project is done. I started helping with post-production in December and now it's March. That's 3 months to do special effects, sound and music editing, re-dubbing of dialogue, color-grading, and exporting the movie back to film. Doesn't take a genius to tell you that it wasn't enough time at all. But whatever, HK productions seem to rush things all the time. That's why the Asian film industry does so poorly. They think selling cheap things at a cheaper price generates more income than selling higher quality stuff at a higher price. Except filmmaking is always about quality, not quantity. Going to travel to Thailand for about 2 weeks for a break. I haven't traveled to a new place in 2 YEARS!! Whenever I go traveling, it has always been to the same places. So FINALLY I get to see something new. All this working for 2 years have driven me crazy. Good experiences, but could have been better. Gotta get back to grad school so I can come out commanding people instead of being commanded. Somebody needs to do things right around here. Hope you are all doing fantastic or at least learning a lot! | | |
| Finally got some time to update. So I'm learning about post production for this movie in HK. The Teaser is out:

I'm still just learning stuff. | | |
| Haven't updated for a long time. Still working part time for Dad. It's bearable, but I rather be in Shanghai. I just recently came back from a 10 day trip to shanghai to visit my film friends, and they're doing well. Hopefully there will be future projects in Shanghai. My theater friends encourage me to do some short films since they are not busy with their newest play yet. I won't be very involved with them with the play this year, maybe just hang out with them and see how they're doing. Otherwise, I'm studying for the GREs now and applying to Grad Schools. I am aiming for Chapman, USC, NYU, AFI, and UCLA, in that order. I like Chapman because they are a small school that responds to my emails next day. I don't like UCLA even though it's the cheapest option because they sent me back an automated email that answered none of my questions, so it was a waste of my time. I'll also be taking the GMATS in December, since I'm insane. | | |
